How Prestige Classes Work

Prestige Classes represent immense training in a specialized archetypal path that grants new powers, abilities, and skills that set them apart from the core classes of the universe.  Because of this, these custom prestige classes require character knowledge and training.  A character cannot become something they know nothing about.

For this reason, all classes listed here and their information will continue to grow as players across multiple campaigns encounter and learn more about them.  They are listed as: Name, Known NPCs (characters encountered that are these things), Prerequisites (if known), Description (if known), Full Class Progression (if known, separate page).

This format encourages player and character exploration, research, inquiry, and creative experimentation to discover all of the many facets of this world and what it has to offer.

Enjoy!

Geomancer

PCs = 1
Prerequisites: Druid 1, Monk 1, character level 7.
Connecting with the elemental nexus of the planet, the Geomancer learns to augment their physical and mental abilities with the raw natural force of the old gods.

Loremaster

NPCs: Edwin Gola (Ren/Shar)

Magnus

NPCs: Elata Susurri (Knight Owls, Shar)

Scion

Seeker

Prerequisite: any class level 5; character must have been killed in battle and resurrected after.
A Seeker is the ultimate champion of his order; resolute in his path, and powerful enough to stand on his own, a Seeker is forged from great loss in battle and seeks to redeem their own memory after death and resurrection.  They accomplish this by taking the life and training they had before and blending it with new powers from the time after their death.  Seekers believe that resurrection changes you; the creature that returns brings something else back with them, and a Seeker uses this new energy to help fuel their augmented abilities.
NPCs: Malfurik Scalebane (Knight Owls, Shar), Abra (D&D Thursday, Ren)

Aegis

Prerequisite: Dragonborn; Paladin, Cleric, Monk, or Fighter 7; requires training
An Aegis represents the last bastion of defense for the fallen lands of the dragonborn.  They were generals and protectors, stalwart in the face of impossible odds.  Their soldiers and comrades fought with trust and pride alongside them and would gladly give their lives to the cause, for they knew that death was not the end.  A Sentinel possesses the rare ability to transcribe a comrade's name into their scales, and draw in the fallen soldier's soul (as well as memories, personality, strengths, and weaknesses).  She may then, in battle, call upon the Fury of her fallen allies carried with her to perform immense acts of healing, heroism, and sacrifice.  But all power has a cost, and a Sentinel chooses to embrace the possibility of their own death in order to wield the magnificent power of an army of souls held within their own.
NPCs: Khantra Sparrowfell (D&D Thursday, Ren), Kayla Sparrowfell (D&D Wednesday, Shar)
